Blackbutt, chosen for durability outdoors. It will weather to silver unless oiled each year.

Mock-up
A full-size seat profile cut in offcuts and tried for comfort before the real timber was cut.

Making
Frame joined with through tenons, slats screwed from below so no fixings show on top.

Delivery
Delivered in two parts and assembled on the deck.

Slatted seat with gaps for drainage, stainless fixings, and feet raised off the deck.
